penang: episode #3

day3: 1st september 2006
0730 hours: mom and i went down town. parked our car somewhere far. "man, penang is getting too crowded…!!!" dad went in his separate car ’cause he had to go work later. had breakfast together (very unusual for me - never really eat breakfast) at a classic old coffee shop near beach street.
0830 hours: dad went to office. mom and i walked to the commissioner of oaths’ office so that i can "angkat sumpah" (this is regarding my stolen passport) and then got my letter certified. proceeded to the immigration office to get passport done. unfortunately, the lady in front of me in line had the last number of the day which meant i had to come another day… crap!
0930 hours: crossed the road to the opposite side to get my BCB ATM card renewed…
1015 hours: walked down beach street to digi customer center to get back my sim card… for free! realised later my air-time will expire the next day… crap! i still have rm 30 worth of air-time… had to reload in order to start using it again!
1045 hours: went back home… that’s when mom found out i havent taken my 3rd-dose vaccine jab which was due 2 weeks ago… hehehe. she dragged me to the hospital, sat there waiting like a mouse to get a what-my-mom-called-a-SMALL injection… hello, jabs of any kind had never been SMALL to me. to me, they can kill… me! i hate jabs… had a history with jabs. oh pls, dun make me recall.
1400 hours: realised i was still ALIVE… glad it didn’t kill me. sister was ridiculing me because i was so afraid of such a tiny jab. yeah, right… later we headed to hongleong bank to get my ATM card renewed… so many ppl in the bank - scary! but fortunately, everything’s done in time. went home, took a nap ’cause i was beginning to feel the "pain" in my arm (due to jab). slept thru it anyway.
2000 hours: followed parents to cell group. everyone was surprised to see me back home in penang… and then the tragic story-telling started, ppl beginning to ask about the incident. felt like i wanted to record the whole story in a CD and then play it to everyone who asked. so sick of repeating. made me recall all those tragic moments i wanted so badly to erase. if only i could turn back the time and all of these wouldn’t have happened.
2130 hours: returned home and retired straight in bed with mixed feelings…
