penang: episode #8

day9: 7th September 2006
0630 hours: i was supposed to wake up half an hour ago… today was an IMPORTANT day. PASSPORT day. had to get up early to get to the immigration office as my passport reporting at the immigration office was due today.
0730 hours: like expected, the line was long. but because i had a number already, i didn’t have to line up (yay!)
0800 hours: the office opened and everyone rushed in (whoa!). luckily, everything else for that day went smoothly though it took quite awhile.
1100 hours: went back home and rested… my foot was getting no better. started packing my stuff - washing the clothes, drying them, ironed, folded etc; leaving this saturday morning *sigh*. so soon…
1700 hours: accompanied my mom to go down town to pick up dad. it was raining cats and dogs and the traffic was hideous! more and more motorcyclists were claiming more authority on the road - the kings of streets in penang… for goodness sake, someone pls ban all motorcycles in penang… at least for a day!
2000 hours: came back home and took dinner… yummy, home-cooked food. and then the phone rang. sister on the line; said she was already on the penang bridge and told us to go get her at the bus terminal now! okay… gobbled my dinner and headed for the bus terminal. it was still raining… but no longer cats and dogs.
2115 hours: yay! everyone was safely back home… still raining… best time to snuggle myself in bed and retire for the day.
